SKN Worldwide's "Sustainability Knowledge Network" Consistent with our corporate vision and mission, SKN has been establishing a worldwide network of sustainability thought leaders, implementation practitioners and related stakeholders. SKN network contributors support our Collaboration and Knowledge Network (CKN) Services by providing content, domain experts and a broader base of network users. SKN Network participants are organized within the following stakeholder groups: Universities and nonprofit, non-governmental organizations (NGOs). SKN's network includes organizations that are often influential when dealing with environmental, health and safety matters, as well as social concerns. Networking with these organizations helps us, and our customers, to better understand the links between risk and reputation. This network includes the Baldridge National Quality Program in Washington, D.C., the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in The Netherlands, the Tellus Institute in Boston, the World Resource Institute (WRI) in Washington, D.C., The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and the University of Augsberg in Germany. Industry organizations. Working with Industry groups helps us to understand issues and risks applicable to particular industries. This network includes the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the American Chemical Council (ACC), Corporate Communications Institute (CCI), and the Emissions Marketing Association (EMA). Sustainability organizations (nonprofit). We also partner with certain organizations that bring sustainability experience within specialized domain topics and industry issues. For example, SKN is a corporate member of the International Sustainability Indicators Network (ISIN) keeping us in touch with local, regional and national sustainability indicator project cases and practitioners. Social Responsible Investors and Private equity. This network is designed to provide intelligence on market expectations, trends and identify early stage sustainability supporting companies and emerging clean technologies. SKN has a long history collaborating with Innovest Strategic Advisors regarding their environmental and social financial risk rating methodologies and research reports, products and services. SKN founder, Kevin McGovern, is Chairman and CEO of McGovern Capital LLC. McGovern Capital LLC, is an Intellectual Property Rights Strategist and originates, funds, structures and implements capital formation, joint ventures and business alliances for "clean" technology companies.
